about us

  • Scientists have complementary expertise: basic chemistry, organic and supramolecular and polymer chemistry; protein chemistry, biochemistry, cell biology, pharmacology and immunology; preclinical testing

  • Integrated team will ensure design of nanoparticles core or coating and derivatization, the characterization of their interaction with host biomolecules and the functional outcome, the elusion of clearance by phagocytes in vitro and in vivo and, eventually, the targeting of dendritic cells, always in vitro end and in vivo, to test the immunization efficacy against cancer.

  • R&D companies will contribute to
    • searching for new innovative coating agents to passivate nanosurface and to amplify our chance to develop optimal stealth or immune-targeted nanoparticles.
    • Develop new immunological tools to characterize the nanoparticle-host protein interaction not only in men and major preclinical species (e.g. mouse, pig)

  • Partner Organizations will support workshops and classes dedicated to science communication, professional ethics, business and spin off expertise to accomplish a complete education of new young researcher generation

LIPOCOAT BV

Bio-inspired coatings

LipoCoat® is a life science scale-up company that employs ca. 15 FTE personnel. LipoCoat® is a founded at the University of Twente - MESA+ institute for nanotechnology in 2016 by dr. Jasper van Weerd, Prof. dr. Marcel Karperien and Prof. dr. Pascal Jonkheijm. The mission of LipoCoat® is to create solutions for improved patient comfort, safety and infection control. LipoCoat® uses innovative bio-inspired coating technology to prevent biofilm formation to reduce healthcare associated infections and strongly impacts coating standards in contact lenses, catheters and implants. LipoCoat® enables sustainable infection control using no antibiotics and no toxic compounds without side effects. The main application areas are centered around medical devices and R&D tools.

SuSoS AG

Your specialist for surface modification and coatings

SuSoS AG, located in Dübendorf, is a leading supplier of thin-film polymer coatings. Since 2004, we have focused on researching and enhancing the chemical interactions between substrates and coatings and functionalizing our customers’ products in various ways: non-fouling coatings for consumables and microfluidics, hydrophilic lubricious coatings for medical devices, molecular super-glue for challenging materials, or bio-functional surfaces for diagnostic applications.
Using thin films that are only a few nm thick, we can completely change the surface properties of your products. Our coatings are designed for optimal adhesion to target substrates and provide tailored functionalities to products.
